Motion Control



Synopsis In this experiment students will investigate the response of a hydraulically actuated motion control system. For a specified motion trajectory, students will use a PID controller to minimize the error between the desired and actual path of the actuator.
Objectives
  1. understand the fundamentals of hydraulic motion control;
  2. tune a PID (Proportional + Integral + Derivative) controller for motion control;
  3. compare responses of the motion control system operating under tuned and untuned PID controller.
