ME 203 Exam

Re-Do problem 3 exam 2

I know that the third problem on exam three was supposed to be quick and simple, but I don't know how to really get it started. I know that it is a kinematics problem, and I have my coordinates and FBD drawn, but I don't know where to go from here...any suggestions would be well appreciated! Thanks in advance.
Try thinking of the string as a body. This way, you can apply the body equations to it. ie: vP=vQ+2vP+ω2×rPQ and aP=aQ+2aP+α2×rPQ+ω2×(ω2×rPQ)+2ω2×2vP. (Sorry, I can't seem to use sub-scripts or super-scripts on this posting. You can get the equations from the equation sheet.)
I will try that, thank you!
